Construite en 1763 dans le plus pur style XVIIIè, l'Orangerie était à l'origine destinée à abriter l'hiver les nombreux orangers qui agrémentaient le Parc du Château de Lacoste conçu par un élève de Le Nôtre, architecte du Parc de Versailles.
Built in 1763, in the purest 18th century style, l'Orangerie was used during winter for sheltering the numerous orange trees which embellished the Lacoste Castle Park for the rest of the year. The Park was conceived by a student of Le Nôtre, the Versailles Castle Park architect.
